CITY DISPATCH
May 2026 Development Update: Optimization
A technical look at final polish, city simulation, weather, interface performance, fishing, and launch QA.

As release approaches, the development team has focused on bug fixing, localization, and performance across the increasingly dense city. Updated levels of detail, light probes, furniture assets, vegetation, rain, and snow are designed to preserve the atmosphere while reducing rendering and memory costs.
The update also explains the Ghost system used to manage thousands of NPC schedules, object pooling for smoother district transitions, and world-state persistence across more than 10,000 objects. Interface work covers a large content set, while story, economy, fishing simulation, compatibility testing, and launch QA continue across ION LANDS, 505 Games, and Quantic Lab.
